The Lender or Mortgage Broker

The first step to home ownersip is to visit a mortgage broker or your financial institution to start the pre-qualification process.  I can recommend Mortgage Specialists from various banks as well as Mortgage Brokers who my clients have had success with in the past.  It is best to shop around for the terms and rate you are comfortable with.  To start the pre-qualification process please fill out the form on my Contact page.

The Lawyer

You will need a lawyer to complete the transaction for you while protecting your legal interests.  The lawyer will check the title of the property you are purchasing to make sure it is free from any liens or encumbrances before closing.  The lawyer will take care of arranging the transfrer of title of closing, necessary paperwork and arranging the transfer of finances and keys on closing.

I can recommend Lawyers from various companies who my clients have had success with in the past.  The Home Inspector

It is very important to have any home whether resale or new, inspected by a registered and insured home inspector.  An inspection by a home inspector is a visual inspection and is in no way a guarantee or warantee on the condition of the home.  There are limitations to all inspections and it is important to be aware of what those are.

The Insurance Broker

You will need to have insurance on your new home in place before your closing date.  An insurance broker can help you with all of your insurance needs such as home, life, and mortgage insurance.
